Introduction

Dr Riccardo Riccio is an FMH specialist in urology and andrology, with over ten years of experience gained in hospitals and university clinics across Europe. He handles the diagnosis and treatment of urological and andrological conditions, from surgery to outpatient care.

He has performed more than a thousand surgical procedures as lead operator, developing particular expertise in the treatment of urinary stones, prostate enlargement, cancers of the urinary and genital tract, and disorders relating to male sexual and reproductive health.

He trained across Italy, France and Germany: at the Policlinico Universitario Federico II and the AORN Cardarelli in Naples, at the Humboldt-Universität in Berlin with the Städtisches Klinikum Lüneburg through a European fellowship, and at the Hôpital Cochin of the AP-HP in Paris. He then worked as a consultant at the ICCS in Milan and the Ospedale Moriggia-Pelascini in Gravedona, and as a senior registrar and later specialist at the Ospedale La Carità in Locarno.

His approach combines surgical expertise with attention to the patient's care pathway, aiming to choose the most appropriate solution for each person, from conservative treatment to surgery when indicated.
